Sketch n Stash challenge # 125

Hello once again my dear friends I hope all is well with you. I am sorry that I haven't been doing much blogging but my shoulder is really causing me pain, I went back to the hospital for my appointment and the doctor has said I need an operation to remove the 'lump' on my rotator cuff but he said there is about a six week waiting list so I am keeping my fingers crossed that I get it done before Christmas. I can't hold anything properly or put any pressure on my arm it's my right arm too, I am struggling with usual jobs, housework etc, I am finding it almost impossible to craft properly I can't use the guillotine or my big shot, or score the cards and I am getting so frustrated. Sorry for moaning I know many people are so much worse off than I am.

I didn't want to miss doing my DT card so my daughter helped me, I created it on the computer and she did all the cutting & sticking, she's a gem.

If you would like to join in with us at Sketch n Stash for this challenge just follow the sketch below, we have an optional theme of 'fairy tale' chosen by our lovely team mate Alessandra

We are being sponsored by Fred She Said & Di's Digi Stamps who are both offering the lucky winner $10 to spend in their on line stores.

As the theme was 'fairy tale' I thought this
'fairy tale dreams' kit from Nit Wits was perfect
Thank you for visiting my blog today and for any comments you may leave I really do appreciate you taking the time and I love reading them xx

Sketch N Stash challenge # 124

Hello my dear friends I hope all is well with you.
I returned to the hospital on Friday and was informed that physio will not be helpful yet as there is still too much swelling but I am pleased to say my shoulder pain is responding to the new pain killers, so I am managing to get a little crafting done although slowly. I am very bored as there is so much that I am unable to do including driving. I have another appointment at the hospital on Thursday to see a specialist, I was informed that he will decide if the 'lump' on my shoulder is operable.

Anyway enough waffle and onto todays card which is my DT card for the Sketch n Stash challenge, we would love for you to join in the fun with us just follow the sketch below and you will be in with a chance to win the fabulous prize of  3 single Digi images of the winner's choice from Pink Gem

Sorry

Hello my lovely friends just popped on to say sory that I haven't been visiting your blogs.
I have been having pain in my shoulder for a few weeks but been managing with painkillers but now the pain is really bad, so after a sleepless night I went to the docs and was sent for a scan which showed I had injured my shoulder but the scan also revealed that I have calcification of the rotator cuff (not good news) so they gave me a cortisone injection and I go back next Friday to see if the swelling has subsided enough for me to have physio, trouble is I don't think that the pain killers they prescribed agree with me as I feel permanently nauseas. Sorry for the moan just didn't want you to think I couldn't be bothered visiting your lovely blogs.
Luv Janet x

Joanna Sheen's butterfly flourish die

Hello my lovely friends I hope you are well.
I am off to stay with my daughter in Sheffield tomorrow morning, I am really looking forward to spending some time with my granddaughter I will be looking after her for a couple of days while my daughter is at work.

I treated myself to a couple of Joanna Sheens new signature dies, they cut in one pass, not many of my dies do that, the one I have used today is 'Butterfly flourish, I love this die it is so easy to snip the butterflies from the flourish too to use on their own as I have, the little butterflies in the centres are waste from a tonic punch and I added some tiny pearls from Mei Flower.
The beautiful pre coloured image and papers are from a CD I bought about five years ago called 'Oriental Fantasy 2' I added pearls to her wings and a little flower in her hair.

Tatty Ted

Hello my dear friends I hope you are having a lovely weekend, I had a day off work today and three of my children my daughter in law and six of my grandchildren came for the day, we had a lovely day spent most of it in the garden as it has been so warm here in Manchester today.

Anyway onto today's card I was asked to make a Tatty Ted card for my daughter's friend 10 year old daughter, I printed the images and papers from a Do Crafts CD, I used various spellbinders dies and added the numbers, stars and gems on strips of acetate to give a floating effect.
I was so happy when she said how thrilled she was with it.

Thank you so much for popping by today
bye for now

wishing you a day of love & laughter

Hello my dear friends I hope you are well and big hugs for those that are not.

I really need to stop apologising for my lack of blogging because you must be sick of hearing my excuses, I just need to except that life is a bit hectic at the moment and I will post when I can, so please bear with me and visit when you can, you never know there may be a card or two to show you.

My mum is home from hospital which is great for her as she so wanted to come home, but my goodness it's hectic, at least before I could visit before I went into work, because she was in the same hospital where I worked they let me visit around my shifts. Now that she is home she needs lots of care, we are back and forth with meals, washing etc, she has refused to go into an adapted flat, so bathing her getting her upstairs etc is hard, she has a carer in the mornings but won't let them do anything for her she tells them my daughters will do it LOL, good job we love her so much.

Anyway I had a couple of hours before work today and those that know me will know, like many of you, card making is my way of relaxing so off I went to my craft room and made this card.

Off now to make veggie soup for mums tea as she refuses to eat tinned LOL.

Thank you for popping by
bye for now
