Here I am back in the real world of work etc etc. To say the wedding went without a hitch would be a fib, We landed in Spain and went to collect our hire car for the week, to be told we couldn't take the car into France, even though we were told at the time of booking that this wouldn't be a problem. It was late we had a two hour drive ahead of us and didn't know what we were going to do. After a few phone calls and heated discussions, we had to pay an extra £300 insurance before they would let us take the car.
The morning of the wedding we went to put some decorations in the room for the reception, we were met by the owner of the property who informed us she was ill and was feeling too weak to prepare the room tables etc and could we do it, what a rush around that was.
Then my daughter (the bride) became ill, we later discovered that there was a 'bug' in the village where we were staying and the 'bug' had made many people ill. You can't tell from the photo's but it did spoil her day, the photo's were taken in between spasms of pain and ..... well I won't go into detail, too much information but I am sure you get the picture, and she was too ill to eat any of the food at the reception.
Then on the day she left for her return home my eldest daughter became ill !!!!
BUT in between all this we had a lovely time, honestly we did
There will be another reception in Sheffield for everyone who couldn't come to France and we will make that special for Louise to make up a little for her being ill on her big day.
